REDUTEX´S PROPERTIES

Redutex, 3D textures is a patented product that is made with an acrylic compound of our own design, expressly created with unique properties, that make it also a one-of-a-kind product in the model making world.

Some of its properties are:

 

DUCTILITY

So it can adapt to different spatial shapes. This property increases its potential when a soft hot air current is applied. For example, a hair dryer.

 

BRITTLE

If on the other hand we submit the material to a cold atmosphere (two or three minutes in the fridge), we will be able to create very real looking cracks and gashes in our model.

 

SELF-ADHESIVE

Special polyester basis, applicable on any clean and grease free materials. It allows you to manoeuvre while you work. It melts with more or less intensity to the surface, depending on the material, although we do not recommend its removal. (Over plain wood, we advice to lightly sand the surface first).

 

MINIMUM THICKNESS OF THE SHEETS

No bigger than 5mm. In most small scale models it allows you to achieve maximum realism in its reliefs.

 

EASY TO APPLY

just cut and stick. Perfect cut with scissors or cutters. For more advanced or professional model makers, you will not have any trouble using a laser cutter. It won´t deform or blackened the edges.

 

SEALING

To facilitate and improve your finishing touches to our textured model we offer you a complete series of our complementary products like the sealing Gel Redutex, available in our main texture colours.

 

VERIFIED RESISTANCE

The chemical composition of the acrylic compound makes the product hardened with time. With his property, added to the strong fusion between the adhesive and the surface, we manage to avoid deterioration of our model through time.

 

HYPEREALISTIC

As a result of the forementioned properties we can achieve extremely realistic reproductions of real life buildings, built entirely with our Redutex 3D textures.
